I can hear the fighting in the living room; the entire house is filling up with more Guardians and humans. The screams and shouting continue to get louder and louder. This is the right time to go and find Nellie. These fuckers have had her long enough, and I can only imagine what the fuck they have done to her.

I storm down the hallway, opening every door. I know she is here; she fucking has to be. I have to say they were clever as fuck to set up at the mansion. They were wise for taking over a place that had become their safe place, which is exactly what the pool house was for them. Now, all their memories that were held within these walls are tainted and have been taken away.

They knew we wouldn’t come back here until we had to regroup. Zayden and the others are smarter than any of us gave them fucking credit for. It pisses me off that a human was able to use so many humans and Guaraidns to do his dirty work. If Zayden were a man at all, he would have stood up and taken care of his own shit instead of standing in the background and letting others do it for him.

It pisses me the fuck off that some pissant of a human has had everything handed to him on a silver fucking platter. That is not how our world fucking works, which we just showed Zayden how it’s done. He thought he had everything figured out, but everything he thought he knew has blown up in his fucking face.

My heart fills with dread with each door I open and find an empty room. There are only so many damn fucking rooms down this hallway; she has to be in one of them. The thought of her alone in one of these rooms is killing me, and what is worse is the thought of her not being alone right now.

Fuck me.

I get to the last door at the end of the hallway and suck in a deep breath. I steady my hand as I slowly turn the doorknob and push the door open, not sure if I am more afraid to find it empty or to find her in here, but when my eyes go to the bed and see Nellie lying there naked and chained to the bead, my heart sinks.

The room is dark, except for the moonlight coming through the open window; at least fresh air is coming into this sweltering room. I quickly scan the room, looking for any hidden dangers. I can tell from the open closet and the pictures on the walls that this is Nellie’s room. The guys did a good job ensuring she would feel safe, loved, and welcomed when she came in here, but now, because of Zayden, this room has been destroyed for her.
